SETTING A PERIMETER
Start by setting a peg at point A. Hook tape measure to peg and pull tape to distance of the length of perimeter. (Our house will be 35x 45 ft so A to B is 45ft.) Set peg for B. Stretch a string between A and B. Now set peg C exactly half way between A and B touching string. Then with two tape-measures, one hooked on peg A and one on peg B, pull tape measures until they meet at the same distance on both tapes. Place peg D. Now measure along C-D from peg C the width of the perimeter. (in our case 35 ft) Place peg E. Peg E should be the mid-point of the back length of the perimeter. Now measure from B the width of the perimeter and measure from E half the length of the perimeter and place peg F. In our case 35' and 22.5' respectively. Then do the same from peg A for the last corner peg G. You should have as near a perfectly squared perimeter as you can get. I hope this is understandable.
